                        ESA: Epsilon Sigma Alpha Foundation

Money, Money, Money, Money!!!

The ESA Foundation awards numerous scholarships annually. You do not have to be an ESA member to apply for a scholarship, and our application process is online. For the 2015-16 academic year there were 195 scholarships awarded totaling $248,850. The ESA Foundation’s major emphasis is service to others, which is illustrated in its motto: Serving the World Community…Because We Care.

As a nonprofit, tax exempt corporation [501(c)3 public foundation] the ESA Foundation supports the service and leadership programs and the philanthropic projects of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International. Founded in 1929, Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) is a leadership and service organization, bringing volunteers together in programs and projects that make a positive difference to the world community.

Currently, the ESA Foundation offers 203 scholarships for the 2016-17 academic year. Recipients are deserving United States and International students who meet the criteria of the individual endowment. Information and guidelines regarding the scholarships, requirements and applications is available at http://www.epsilonsigmaalpha.org/scholarships-and-grants. This site will provide the student a list of available scholarships by the state of the student’s residence. The application, requirements/documentation and submission for judging will all be done on line.

Florida students will have the opportunity to apply for 44 scholarships this year. Students may apply for as many scholarships as the on line application process determines they are eligible. Due to the large volume of scholarship applications, a five (5) dollar processing fee is charged for each scholarship application to offset the costs of the program. Fee monies remaining after operational costs, if any, are put into the ESAF General Scholarship Fund. Depending on the amount in the General Scholarship Funds at the end of each fiscal year, additional scholarships are awarded.

DEADLINE: Completed applications with required documentation must be submitted NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 1, 2016.

EARLY BIRD AWARD: Any completed application with required documentation and approved for judging that has been submitted by DECEMBER 15, 2015, will be entered in a drawing to be awarded a $1,000.00 Early Bird Scholarship (as funds permit).

Please visit us at http://www.epsilonsigmaalpha.org/esaf to fully understand our goals and programs. We wish you and your student’s success as you continue to support academic excellence.
